Facebook pushes on music, adds tracks to Spotify and Apple – The Republic

FACEBOOK pushes about music: Launches Music Stories, a new feature that allows you to share music tracks from Spotify, Music and Apple iTunes. A new service in collaboration with these popular streaming platforms whose objective is to hold more and more users in the precincts of the social network, which yesterday joined the club of the richest companies in the world for the first time surpassing the 300 billion capitalization.

It is not the first foray of the company of Mark Zuckerberg in the music: since 2011 works with Spotify allowing the sharing of songs on the social network while you listen. In the case of Music Stories traces thirty seconds once shared you can listen directly on Facebook without the reference to an outdoor deck. Appear in the flow of news as posts, pictures and video from our friends. And there is no need to have installed on our smartphone app Spotify and Apple Music or to subscribe.

In short, everything is integrated to social networks and in perspective increase residence time users. When the function is only available on devices running Apple’s iOS. Future goal of the company could be the integration of other streaming services (Deezer, Tidal, Rdio, Google Play Music, etc) to create a personal playlist of members.
