Cook in Milan, Nadella in Rome: if the tech giants (re) discover Italy – BBC

For Italy it was the week of the big technology. After Tim Cook , leader of Apple, on Tuesday at the Bocconi University of Milan (our exclusive interview), has fallen to Satya Nadella : Microsoft talked to the Auditorium della Musica in Rome for the event “Future Decoded”. Two titans of digital, two days apart, in two symbols of our culture and education.

Italy runs with the ballast in his pockets when it comes to new technologies, but with its crossroads of talent, history, design and taste continues to fascinate the great overseas. Proud to speak in front of hundreds of young people: students and future managers in Milan, developers and creators of start-ups in Rome. Perfect to inspire the audience. Tim Cook urged to “push the boundaries further, rejecting the old ones”. Satya Nadella closed his speech by saying that “technology amplifies the ability of man but serve great ambitions.”

Cook has brought in Cupertino collection selfie which granted, with humility and smiles , to the dozens of kids who saw him as a professional model (and perhaps also human after the positions of civil rights and the environment). Nadella told leading to Seattle honey of a start-up Italian (Melixa) who wants to change the beekeeping with sensors and the Internet: “It’s fabulous, I will enjoy it for breakfast.” The techno-honey as a metaphor of the mix of old traditions and new ideas.

The audience of Cook and NADELLA tomorrow will be the ruling class. A Better Youth contemporary that the country can no longer disappoint if he wants to leave. Otherwise it will be the Best of Youth starting: abroad with open arms.
