Science – It is WT1190F and is a piece of space junk

Viterbo – WT1190F is a piece of space junk discovered by the Catalina Sky Survey on Oct. 3.
The object is only 1 or 2 meters and its trajectory shows that has a low density, and is perhaps empty. A piece rambling space that returns from the history.
The orbit of translunar WT1190F is a clue to its origin, probably an old mission to the Moon. It could be one stage of the rocket used up or the lunar module of Apollo.
As expected the European Space Agency, the fireball was spotted in the sky above the ocean blue midday Indian.
A plane from research funded by the United Arab Emirates and space by the International Astronomy shows the first images of WT1190F disintegrating off the coast of Sri Lanka Friday, Nov. 13.
The group of trained observers aboard the plane, belonging to NASA and the SETI Institute, showed a lot of data and have even managed to do spectroscopy at wavelengths of blue and red.
These measurements will provide clues to the origin of certain WT1190F. In the coming years we will continue to see falling other components of the innumerable “space junk”, which unfortunately we left there as well!
