Apple and IBM launch apps for companies – ANSA.it

(ANSA) – Rome, 11th DEC – Here come the first fruits of the collaboration between Apple and IBM in business for the iPhone and iPad. The two companies have submitted the first set of applications ‘IBM MobileFirst for iOS’ dedicated to various sectors, from transport to finance, from insurance to public administration, from retail to telecommunications.
The app can be customized to ‘organization, distributed, managed and updated using cloud services from IBM.
‘ ‘What we are offering directly responds to the new needs of the business: intelligent technologies can create new value at the point of encounter between big data and individual involvement ” said Bridget van Kralingen, vice president of IBM.
” It’s a big step for the iPhone and iPad in the enterprise, and we look forward to seeing them in innovative ways companies will exploit iOS devices at work ” said Philip Schiller, Apple’s vice president.
Among the app submitted, ‘Flight Plan’ and ‘Passenger +’ are dedicated to the airlines, ‘Advise & amp; Grow ‘and’ Trusted Advice ‘banks,’ Retention ‘insurance,’ Case Advice ‘and social workers’ Incident Aware’ to the police.
