Google Maps, available Public Transport Milan – PianetaCellulare.it

For the city of Milan in Google Maps are now available on the information lines and public transport timetables. Google Maps already incorporated paths to reach a point in the city of Milan by car or on foot, but now allows you to have the information and the estimated time of arrival by public transport thanks to the function called ‘Transit’.

Transit ‘ is made available on Google Maps for the city of Milan, thanks to the collaboration between Google with the City of Milan. The partnership was presented in the new Milan headquarters of Google located in the district Isola-Porta Nuova.

With Transit, increase the possibility for users of Google Maps to have the latest information on transportation. And do not forget ‘StreetView’, the section of Maps that lets you virtually walk the streets thanks to panoramic pictures 360 degrees.

StreetView is not just on the streets of Milan, but also in specific places to discover as the inner courtyards of the Castello Sforzesco, the Civic Arena, the park of the basilicas, the Rotonda della Besana and the gardens of Villa Lonati. Additional points will be added to the list in the coming weeks.

Finally, Google has expressed its willingness to cooperate with the administration to open its offices to the city for training courses throughout the world of technology and web in the new Milan office.
