Christmas is coming and Amazon takes the opportunity to launch the new service delivery “Prime”. From today in Manhattan will be able to receive at home a range of essential products for everyday use (shampoo, detergents, batteries, paper rolls, books, etc ..) in just one hour, at a cost of $ 7.99. The service (by subscription to 99 € per year) for the time runs from 6am to midnight, is active only in some areas of the city and also provides the option with delivery in two hours free.

The purchases are managed through an app available for both iOS and Android mobile devices. To manage orders the giant e-commerce will use a home on 34th street. In 2015 the service will reach other US cities.

The idea had been anticipated from sites like Kozmo and Urbanfetch. It confirms the trend towards deliveries “ultra fast” earlier this year Google has also expanded its services “in the day” in New York and Los Angeles.
