The disaster of the smartphone Galaxy Note 7 probably will go down in history: two and a half million units sold in just a few days, and withdrawn from the market in a hurry, followed by a second recall on the replacement products and the interruption in total sales of the phone have undermined consumer confidence in the brand, and probably always will be the one in Galaxy Note series. Yet one of the unfortunate buyers of the device there is who persists in not care to separate.

Among the possible reasons, the most plausible is also the most banal: the gadget aesthetically spectacular, and — when not on fire — it works great. In the time between the announcement and the first days on the market, Notes 7, has been reviewed and eagerly anticipated by the public, not only as an excellent phone, but as the best of his generation, almost too good to be true. According to some hypotheses, Samsung would strafatto own in an attempt to launch a preventive attack and fatal towards the smartphone iPhone 7 Plus and the new Pixel XL Google, which would be released on the market with several weeks of delay.

Notes 7, therefore, was a gadget that is quite unique, both for what it meant for the Samsung (already before the disaster), both from the technical point of view: a combination never seen in top-notch components. Curved screen, panel, high-definition, declared to be the absolute best on the market, the camera to the highest levels, the nib is pull-out and scanning of the iris are characteristics that are impossible to find all on board of the same product and this is the aspect that on the forums around the net shows the last owners were not to get rid of the phone.

There are those who try to justify the logic. As is obvious, in spite of the media coverage reserved to the phenomenon, Galaxy Note 7 explosives are a minority, very small: Samsung may not ignore it, and rightly should proceed to the complete withdrawal in order to avoid risks to the health of its customers and consequent damages to the image, but by counting the cases given here the device is actually defective, you have proved to be one in 25 thousand. The calculation did Josh Dickey of Mashable, that in order to feel better is come to compare the statistics to the greater probability of being struck by lightning in 80 years of life (1 on 13 thousand), without counting that the count is done regarding smartphone active for less than a month.

But there are also users a more pragmatic, who know that they were in possession of a unique object and who think that it is better to skip the risk and try to turn it into an opportunity at the expense of others. In the past few days on eBay have multiplied the cases of Notes 7 offered for sale at prices disproportionate: up to € 2000; fortunately, the auction site is committed to quickly pick up the ads and make sure that no one pay a euro for a device that is potentially dangerous.

In all this, Samsung is making you jump through hoops to put their hands on all the units sold. The partners in the u.s. Oculus have disabled via software using the telephone with viewer Gear VR, making it useless for virtual reality, while in addition to the programme of withdrawal via e-mail and in the shops, the Korean manufacturer is setting up recovery points in the airports to not leave their customers without a phone for security checks pre-flight. In Italy the situation is under control: how accurate Samsung, Note 7 has never been officially put on the market if not through pre-order online, during which have been made about 4 thousand bookings. Of these, less than half of them have turned into deliveries: customers affected can call the toll-free number 800.025.520 or visit the site dedicated to return the phone and receive in exchange the Galaxy S7 and a compensation or a full refund.
