Microsoft Surface Study – Want …

During the event organized in New York on the 26th of October, Microsoft has introduced a new device family Surface designed primarily for professionals who seek maximum colour fidelity and the various input modes to speed up the execution of certain operations. The Surface Studio is a PC all-in-one with a touch display 28 inch, which can be tilted to facilitate the writing and sketching with the Surface Pen. In addition to the stylus is available also the new Surface Dial, a small knob which activates a radial menu when it rests on the screen.

Surface Study: LCD display ultra-thin

The Surface Studio has an aluminum frame with a thickness of 12.5 mm. The display PixelSense 28 inch (aspect ratio 3:2 and 192 ppi) with 13.5 million pixels and is therefore the most thin in the world. The resolution of the screen is 4500×3000 pixels, 63% more than the FLAT 4K. The panel is TrueColor, then exactly reproduces the real colors and you can change the color space on the fly through the Windows settings 10. The display is attached to the base using the Zero Gravity Hinge, a hinge that allows to tilt the PC up to an angle of 20 degrees.

Surface Dial

The Surface Dial is an aluminium disc with integrated batteries (two type AAA) that can be connected to the Surface via Bluetooth connection. Click through and rotations, the user can perform various functions, such as adjust the volume of music tracks, change the brightness of the screen or browse the documents. The Surface Dial is also compatible with Surface Pro 3, Surface Pro 4 and Surface Book, but only the Surface Studio allows you to take advantage of its features more interesting. When the accessory is placed on the screen, the touch panel detects its position and allows you to display a radial menu with which the user can rotate the images, change the color of the brush, zoom and other operations. The activation of the various options is confirmed by a haptic feedback.

Availability and pricing

The Surface Study will be available from 12 December in three configurations:

The Surface-the Dial will be on sale from 10 November to $ 99.99.
