The continued spread of TV stream, the device connected and downloading huge files is likely to lead to Internet to collapse. It is the alarm that comes from Birmingham, where the professor of Aston University, Andrew Ellis , has scheduled a “capacity crunch” of the Net: in eight years, the enormous demand for data by users would clog the infrastructure of the Web; the issue will be discussed on May 11 by a team of experts from the Royal Society of London , the English national academy of sciences.
Why would you reach full saturation of the Internet ? The problem, according to Ellis, is that the network may exceed its capacity and unable to keep up with the demand by users of data faster. Among the solutions, the rationing of the connection or increasing costs: since 2005, in fact, scientists have responded to growing demand by increasing internet speeds of 50 times. This has led and is leading to a further rise in bills.
