The lone turns 25, was created by an intern – Mobile Magazine

It was back in 1989. An intern named Wes Cherry Microsoft developed a free card game that the intention of the software giant, he should bring the most timid to world of PCs. The name of the game was and still is: “Solitaire”, lonely in Italian and, at least once in life, we all have played.

> Well, Wes had created the most used and known video game of all time but, ironically, not received not even one euro. He had in fact agreed to any extra compensation, if not the normal (and reduced) pay an intern.

Solitaire been present on all versions of Windows up to 7 while Windows 8 It is pre-installed but can be downloaded as an app.

To learn more about the history of Wes Cherry, I refer instead to this link where you will also find an interview (in English) made from the site b3ta. There are lots of curiosity such as the version of the story “Boss Mode” which was used to start with a key a fake randomly generated C code, but that was canceled by Microsoft. Plus an interesting trick to facilitate the game (you can press Ctrl + Shift + Alt while to click on the deck to draw a card better).
