Samsung enters the world of the Internet of Things with Artik – Software

Also Samsung wants to have his say within the Internet of Things (IoT). The Korean company has presented yesterday Artik .
It is a new “brand” under whose umbrella will leave a way to position cards and hardware components to make any electronic device smarter and manageable remotely.

For now Samsung has presented, under the name Artik, three tabs freely programmable and extremely compact dimensions. Suffice it to say that the card more compact, Artik 1 , is a square of 12 mm side.


Artik 1 proposes a dual core processor at 250 MHz, 4 GB of memory flash, Bluetooth LE and a motion sensor to nine axes. A real microcomputer instead Artik 5 which incorporates a dual core processor at 1 GHz, with 512 MB of internal memory, 4 GB of storage (flash memory) and WiFi modules / Zigbee.

Artik, as confirmed by a spokesman for Samsung, will be compatible with products from other manufacturers.
