These figures emerge from the campaign Do not Waste Venice. The waste is constituted for the most part from plastic. This is a problem often overlooked. Recall that Venice, for the urban characteristics and for its artistic heritage, is widely considered one of the most beautiful cities in the world and ranks, along with its lagoon, between the Italian heritage sites by UNESCO: this factor has helped make it the third Italian city (after Rome and Milan) with the highest flow of tourists, mostly coming from outside Italy.

It ‘a shame then that waste deturpino in this way the beautiful landscape of the Venetian city. We await the measures that will be taken in this regard.
