The numbers pitted by research firm Kantar , in his report on the smartphone sales registered over the first three months of 2015 . leave no doubt that the iPhone 6 is increasingly popular and has set a trend not only among the Apple faithful, but also draws new users among those of Android. In the first five European markets (Great Britain, Italy, France, Germany and Spain), in fact, the iPhone have reached 20.3% of total sales of smartphones, an increase dll’1,3% over the same period 2014. Android slips from 71.5 to 68.4 percent.

In our country, iOS has reached 17.5%, gaining almost five percentage points, the same as leaves on the Android camp, which backs up to 66.2%. In Italy the best selling smartphone of all is precisely the iPhone, followed closely by Samsung S5.

In other markets outside the European situation it is quite stable, although in almost all major countries are showing a progress of iOS against Android. China is the best market for Apple, whose sales rise almost 10 percent (9.2), reaching 26.1 percent of the total; Android loses eight points, 80 to 72 percent. The only case in which the operating system of Google gives signs of upward is Japan, a country where last year was Apple to dominate. The evidence from Australia also are in line with those in Europe, where Apple earns 5.3 points (38.4 percent), while Android stops at 52.3 (-5 percent).

As for Windows Phone devices, these have reached a 9.9% market share in the 5 major European countries, with an increase of 1.8% over the same period last year, but down slightly compared with 10.1% the previous month. In Italy the spread of Windows Phone was 14.4%, the same as recorded at the end of February. A figure that puts our country at the top in Europe in sales of smartphones with the Microsoft OS, followed by France with 14.1%.

The situation is basically stable in the United States than in previous months. In the US market sales of Windows Phone are frozen at 4.3%, as in China to 1.2%. Bleak the situation in Japan, where the operating system from Redmond to perceive a timid 0.4%. In Australia you record market share of 7.3%, up 0.4%.
