Good news for Apple: in the first three months of 2015, sales of its latest model of smartphone (iPhone 6 and – in the advanced version – 6 Plus) grew by 1.8 per cent, at the expense of Android (owned by Google) . Says a report by Kantar, who regularly monitors the “muscle strength” of the big companies in terms of market share.
In the first five European markets (Great Britain, Italy, France, Germany and Spain), in fact, the iPhone reached 20.3 percent of total smartphone sales, while Android down, albeit slightly, from 71.5 to 68.4 percent.
In particular with regard to Italy, the Apple operating system, iOS,, reached 17.5 percent, rising by almost five percentage points; the same ones who, instead, Android loses, reaching 66.2. In our country the iPhone is the best selling smartphone ever, followed by the Samsung S5.
Another factor which affects (and of interest, again, the top five European markets) covers more than one third of new Apple customers, who spend all’iOS after using Android has 32.4 percent of new end users of the “bitten apple” of Steve Jobs.
Outside Europe, is China the best market for Apple, whose sales rise almost 10 percent (9.2), reaching 26.1 percent of the total; Android loses eight points, 80 to 72 percent. In the United States, however, Apple drops slightly by 0.2 percent (36.5), all to the advantage of Android (58.1 percent, +0.2). The same decline, but to a much higher, in Japan, where Apple falls to 12 points, settling at 45.1; Android, instead, salt of 10, 42.1 to 52.3 percent. In line with European data, those of Australia, where the Cupertino giant earns 5.3 points (38.4 percent), while Android stops at 52.3 (-5 percent).
It is reported to analysts, the former Android users choose to spend all’iOS for the size of the iPhone, for a good quality / price ratio and for the greater convenience of the proposals offered by the various telephone operators, related to the products with the Apple brand.
