In late May, a Seattle , there will be a international competition organized by Amazon face to choose the automatic warehouse organization . The race will also attend two Italian competitors who will present a system developed by ‘ University of Pisa .
The goal of Amazon Picking Challenge is reinventing the management of the places where they are crammed and from where millions of products to the four corners of the world. The Challenge aims “to stimulate the robotics community to find solutions advanced and automated to retrieve objects from the shelves ordered online and store them in boxes ready to be shipped.”
The software participants (the winner will be awarded a prize of 20 thousand dollars) will be made freely available to the community for further improvement.
