Stephanie is a twelve year old girl whose father is in Houston located, to work, really far away: the International Space Station.
To hear a little ‘closer, Stephanie wanted to send a special message and found an ally in Hyundai, which has created an original way to get the message of the girl at the destination.
The company has decided to use the Delamar Dry Lake, a dry lake bed in Nevada, like a huge sheet, on which to write with 11 Hyundai Genesis.
After a week of preparation, started the work of writing: the result is a message so great as to be visible from space and that says “Steph Loves You” ( ‘Steph loves you “), with a heart replacing the word Love , as written in the original created by Stephanie.
Hyundai did not know who the father of Stephanie, but the page of the initiative – which for the company obviously has also the function of an advertising campaign – see the website of NASA and precisely to Shipping 42, that also involved Samantha Cristoforetti. Stephanie’s father will be the commander Barry Wilmore (but is already back on Earth) or the flight engineer and commander of the Expedition 43 Terry Virts.
It’s not really clear whether the message, visible from great altitudes, is actually easily visible from the ISS is designed so that we can see from 300 km, but the station is generally just a little ‘more distance (between 330 and 435 km); in any case, the Guinness certified the exceptionality of the company, giving recognition to the largest image ever made of the tires.
