Vodafone 4G leader in Europe, covered 4,000 municipalities in Italy – PianetaCellulare.it

Vodafone Italy at the end of March 2015 covers with its 4G network in Italy more than 4,000 municipalities, representing 80 percent of the population, the largest in Europe. Also expand service coverage 4G Plus, now available in more than 250 municipalities throughout Italy. Vodafone continues to experiment in Italy VoLTE for calls in HD tomorrow. Vodafone Italy has announced that at the end of March 2015 covers with its 4G network in Italy over 4000 municipalities, equal to ’84% of the population. Also, has been expanded service coverage 4G Plus, now available in more than 250 municipalities throughout Italy.

Service Plus 4G, by Vodafone launched last November, is based on the new LTE Advanced and enables you to navigate to a speed of 225 Mbps.

Vodafone customers who want to test the performance of 4G and 4G Plus can do so by paying 10 euro for three months to get additional 2GB navigation.

The extension of the 4G network and the development of service 4G + part of the strategy of investment and enhancement of the ultra-broadband Vodafone. With the Plan Spring Vodafone is investing in Italy 3.6 billion euro for the development of next generation networks in fiber and 4G.

Vodafone first in Italy VoLTE . The Voice Over LTE is currently being tested in the Italian cities of Milan, Rome and Ivrea. VoLTE is the new standard that allows you to make voice calls over the 4G network by exploiting the increased bandwidth capacity of the mobile network of new generation.

4000 municipalities and 12 countries

The 4G network Vodafone confirms today the most extensive coverage for a total of 4,000 municipalities and 12 foreign countries. Thanks to roaming agreements, in addition, Vodafone can count on 4G in 45 countries.

As for the 4G network, Vodafone currently covers 13.7 million customers worldwide (as of December 31, 2014) while in Italian population coverage touches 84%.

The Plus 4G network with speeds up to 225 Mbps, reaching a total of 250 Italian municipalities and eight European nations.
