Video ‘immersive’ which will enable to have a vision, “360 degree” of real places like a video game in 3D. It is one of the news announced by the number one of Facebook, Mark Zuckerberg at F8 developer conference in San Francisco. “We’re starting to see how the traditional video to begin operations with a more immersive content,” said the CEO in front of over 2,500 present. For the trial version of the service were chosen Venice and Riomaggiore where the user “surfs” the streets “like it was teleported and was walk.”

Zuckerberg explained that these videos are shot with twenty-four different cameras in sync that will allow the user to “move in the video” and “see it from different points of view.” The goal seems, in short, to retire Google Earth. The immersive video, he said Zuckerberg, are only the first step of Facebook in the world of virtual reality. In fact follow the video “spherical”, thanks to the technologies of Oculus Rift, a manufacturer of glasses for video games in 3D that has been purchased from Menlo Park last year to two billion. For videos at 360 degrees instead just connect to your Facebook homepage. Mountain View, whose project Google Glass looks dangerously poised, is felt.
