An arena for learning to fly drones – The Republic

Sono 1,400 square meters of space available to the drones, a real gym to learn to drive the drones. And ‘the arena opened by the Chinese company DJI near Seoul, South Korea, used as a real training. There is also room for the audience, with giant screens to view real-time images transmitted by the drones themselves.

DJI describes this place as “a meeting place for fans,” to the more experienced what for beginners. There will be safety nets and an acrobatic circuit marked with LED lights, which also makes it a place to sleep real competitions. Do not miss a specialized area where to make minor repairs to the drones themselves.

In the arena will be able to fly a drone for the first time without buying one, but there will also be training courses for young people between 8 and 16 years: eight lessons to learn the basics, also useful to understand if you want to pursue a professional racing career – a figure that will be increasingly in demand in the coming years. DJI also offers individual courses, for those who want to refine their driving skills.

And in Italy? DJI has no similar structures in our country, but a simple Google search reveals that in our country the phenomenon is quite present. The courses to be taken into account are probably those recognized by ENAC, at least for those looking for a future career. Several specialized sites offer a list of available courses, organized by geographic areas.
