Alliance between Volvo and Uber for unmanned self – AGI – Agenzia Journalistic Italy

Rome – The Swedish Volvo said it had launched an alliance with Uber, the app that provides private transportation services, to provide unmanned cars. To this end, the two groups plan to invest 300 million Euros in the project, and Volvo is already ‘testing since 2014, the first models in Gothenburg, in southern Sweden and plans to deliver them to the drivers of Gothenburg and London in 2017. According to reports Bloomberg Uber next month in Pittsburgh in the US intends to introduce a fleet of Volvo Xc90 unmanned car, at the initial stage, however provide for the supervision of a driver.
