The wait is over because from the 31 December 2016 is operational on the Italian market of telecommunications, Wind Three, the largest national mobile telephony with over 31 million customers and 2.7 million in fixed, the result of a merger between the operators Wind and 3 Italia. Wind Three will realize significant efficiencies and invest in the coming years, 7 billion in the digital infrastructure. The new financial capacity and the industrial will to Wind Three to provide services that are innovative, of high quality and increased speed of the network in line with the growing demand for connectivity, and the expectations of consumption of households and businesses.
The company has the objective of becoming a reference player infixed-mobile integration, and in the development of fibre-optic networks of the new generation, also thanks to the agreement with Enel Open Fiber to the implementation of the network in the broadband in Italy. Maximo Ibarra will be joined by a team of managers of large national and international experience: Dina Ravera (Merger Integration Officer), Stefano Invernizzi (Finance, Control & Procurement), Benoit Hanssen (Technology), Paul Nanni (Business & Wholesale), Luciano Salt (Human Resources), Mark Shalaby (Legal, Compliance & Regulatory), Michiel Van Eldik (Consumer & Digital) and Massimo Angelini (PR, Internal & External Communication).

Very important also for the purpose of providing fixed-to-mobile thanks to an agreement with Enel Open Fiber. Wind Three is intended, therefore, to become an important reality in the Italian panorama which can compete with the giants in the likes of Telecom Italia and Vodafone.
