Galaxy Note 7, a press conference on the battery – Want …

The story had as its protagonist the Galaxy Note 7 will end the day January 23. the Samsung has announced that the results of the investigation on the battery will be communicated in the course of a press conference that the interested parties can follow in live streaming. The phablet was unveiled in New York on August 2, 2016. A few days after the start of sales, some users have reported overheating and explosion of the battery, mainly during the charging, but there are also cases of spontaneous ignition of sudden. Samsung has therefore decided to replace the Galaxy Note 7 defective unit that embedded batteries from another supplier. The problem, however, is re-presented, for which the company has decided to withdraw from the market all the phablet and definitely stop the production.

In a first time, Samsung had announced that its engineers had not been able to replicate the problem reported by the users. However, the most likely hypothesis of the overheating and explosions, was the contact between the anode and the cathode. Some experts, meanwhile, had discovered that the cause was due to the reduction of the space required for the expansion of the battery during charge and discharge. According to the latest information gathered by Reuters, this last hypothesis would be to exclude.

During the press conference on January 23, will be disclosed the results of the surveys carried out by independent organisations. Samsung will also provide details on the measures taken to avoid similar inconveniences in the future. The day chosen by the producer is not random. On the 24th of January, in fact, will be posted to the financial statements for the quarterly and then you will know the costs associated with the flop of the Galaxy Note 7.
