Google is preparing a new version of his glasses Google Glass , but not for consumers following the Explorer Edition of 2013, but an edition “ Enterprise Edition ” reserved to some companies such as the health sector. The Wall Street Journal has anticipated last summer version, now confirmed by some new photos and documents FCC regarding its new Enterprise Edition of the wearable device.
The images and documents FCC emerged before any official announcement from Google. Who thought that the project Google Glass was dead, know that it is not, at least perr use in professional environments.
The newspaper, however, ‘wrong its forecast, reporting that the new version will not have the same structure as the first generation of Glass that we have seen in recent years and that the model aimed at companies will present a ‘Locked’ that allows you to engage them in normal glasses. These Glass would therefore not just a frame, but it would form only a transparent rectangle with a larger prism that projects images on a larger screen. As we see from the photos, however, the Glass Enterprise Edition have their own frame, although slightly different in design from the one offered by the first generation.
Previous reports have suggested that the new model will fold like a normal pair of glasses, and at this point it is possible that there could be different models.
Wall Street Journal has also said that the new version of Glass for professionals will also be able to last longer, thanks to the support of an additional battery pack, going to couple magnetically to increase the autonomy. The new model will also water resistant and more durable, which makes sense given its goal of being used by companies in factories, warehouses, or other work environments where small computer can be damaged easily. Other features for the alleged new Glass Enterprise: Intel Atom, improved wireless connectivity with Wi-Fi 5GHz, improved heat management and performance, the new location of the power button moved to the rear of the device and the folding glass toward ‘ interior.
The Enterprise Edition of Google Glass will only be available to companies and is not expected to be sold to the public. The software, however, will be the last version of Explorer Edition.
The new version of Glass Company is said to be undergoing final tests, with what is available to businesses in early 2016.
