TAG Heuer smartwatch: Intel CPU and Android Wear by year end The Swiss TAG Heuer announced first smartwatch with Intel and Android Wear. The launch is expected later this year, but at the moment we know neither the specification nor the price of the next clock “intelligent”.

TAG Heuer, Google and Intel have announced a collaboration to launch a smartwatch Swiss-based Intel and Android Wear. This agreement establishes a new era of alliances among Swiss watches and Silicon Valley, combining their specific expertise in the luxury watchmaking, software and hardware.

The collaboration was officially announced a Baselworld , during a press conference which was held March 19 at the stand TAG Heuer and which featured Jean-Claude Biver , President of the Watch Division of LVMH Group and CEO of TAG Heuer, David Singleton , Director of Engineering for Android Wear and Michael Bell , Corporate Vice President and General Manager of New Devices Group at Intel. Together these three companies will create a luxury product, constantly connected to the daily life of those who wear it and that will represent the pinnacle of innovation, creativity and design of the Silicon Valley in California and the Watch Valley of La Chaux-de-Fonds in Switzerland.

The smartwatch TAG Heuer will be launched later this year, but the company did not provide the official specifications, an exact launch date or its price. The first rumors, however, ensure that the clock will function fitness tracker, GPS tracking and autonomy longest of that of the Apple Watch. The smartwatch will be assembled in Switzerland and 80% of the price will be determined by Swiss components. But unlike other Swiss luxury watches do not report the word “made in Swiss” as the processor and other hardware parts will come from other countries. To be precise, the smartwatch TAG Heuer will be “assembled in Switzerland” and “Intel inside”.
