His name is Archimede Solar Car 1.0 and is an ‘ electric car , but unusual: why? Simply this prototype is fed by the ‘ solar thanks to the cover of photovoltaic panels that protects and ensures that a potentially unlimited accumulation of energy, thus eliminating the base is also the problem mileage, limited in other electric cars. For this reason Archimede Solar Car 1.0, among other things made in Italy project since it was born from close professional synergy between the ‘ University of Catania and a pool of enterprises and Sicilian universities, can really represent’ electric cars of the future, with an initial purpose is to raise awareness about sensitive issues, but at the same time they should be common to all of us, such as sustainable mobility and especially the reduction of harmful emissions.
Archimede Solar Car 1.0 was inaugurated in the presence of Mayor Catania Enzo Bianco and the Director General of the university in Catania Federico Portuguese : 4.5 meters long, is lined by cells contained in solar panels that cover the vehicle by converting the sun’s energy into electric energy using a hardware sector and the processing of which is capable of charging a battery pack lithium-polymer designed to power the electric motor. Moreover, Archimede Solar Car 1.0 is an innovative project and low-cost , in the name of sustainable mobility and environmental health.
