Archimede Solar Car 1.0 is the future of the electric car, which is why – Investing Today

His name is Archimede Solar Car 1.0 and is an ‘ electric car , but unusual: why? Simply this prototype is fed by the ‘ solar thanks to the cover of photovoltaic panels that protects and ensures that a potentially unlimited accumulation of energy, thus eliminating the base is also the problem mileage, limited in other electric cars. For this reason Archimede Solar Car 1.0, among other things made in Italy project since it was born from close professional synergy between the ‘ University of Catania and a pool of enterprises and Sicilian universities, can really represent’ electric cars of the future, with an initial purpose is to raise awareness about sensitive issues, but at the same time they should be common to all of us, such as sustainable mobility and especially the reduction of harmful emissions.

Archimede Solar Car 1.0 was inaugurated in the presence of Mayor Catania Enzo Bianco and the Director General of the university in Catania Federico Portuguese : 4.5 meters long, is lined by cells contained in solar panels that cover the vehicle by converting the sun’s energy into electric energy using a hardware sector and the processing of which is capable of charging a battery pack lithium-polymer designed to power the electric motor. Moreover, Archimede Solar Car 1.0 is an innovative project and low-cost , in the name of sustainable mobility and environmental health.

Archimede Solar Car 1.0 therefore it represents not only a prototype, but also an inlet toward a more sustainable future from the viewpoint of mobility. 4.5 meters long and 1.8 meters wide, the vehicle body is not made up of carbon – because expensive – but the aluminum and kevlar , which not only have an economic impact on production costs , but also they cover in a direction of efficiency from the functional point of view the car itself. The properties of aluminum require to think also to the fact that the vehicle is not liable to rust, but especially hindered the weakening of some points related to welding. The suspension were also created and optimized for use of the vehicle on paved roads, while the driving part is constituted by two brushless motors (without brushes).

Professor Rosario Lanzafame University of Catania, who spoke at the presentation of the prototype, “the solar-powered electric car made in Sicily is a real laboratory travels on wheels. This is the result of the synergy between universities and a group of small companies, supported by the commitment of our graduating students, which is also proof that you can achieve a new model of sustainable mobility, starting from sharing with new energy paradigms territory decarbonised “. In this way, Archimede Solar Car 1.0 “meets the eco in urban mobility desire through photovoltaic conversion ‘on board’ the electricity needed for the traction of the vehicle, which reaches unlimited autonomy through innovative braking recuperative .

<'p> the association is working on the project Archimedes – already an iconic name in itself, and which exemplifies how the idea and creativity made in Italy is still alive and fruitful – will look forward to creating new synergies with public and private institutions to raise awareness on the topic of sustainable mobility by working on infrastructure – from the institutional side – and informing – in terms of public opinion and ordinary citizens.
