Silk Road, sentenced to life imprisonment the founder of the black market … – The Messenger

The founder of “Silk Road”, the site considered “the black market of the web”, was sentenced to life imprisonment in the United States.

Arrested by the FBI in 2013 and convicted in February for drug smuggling, software piracy and money laundering, Ross Ulbricht, 30, will spend the rest of life in prison. On ‘Silk Road’ they were illegally sold drugs, narcotics, weapons, false documents. For documents you used the bitcoin.

The defenders Ulbricht had said that a few months after creating the site their client had left the control of the platform, while according to the indictment there is no evidence of this. Judges would be able to reconstruct all the illegal activities of Ulbricht: they claim is he who was hiding behind the name of “Dread Pirate Roberts”, the one who through bitcoin ran a huge traffic of money of the sale of drugs.
