New border protection, recognition eye – VEB

What a few years ago was considered little more than mere fiction, with today’s technology, more efficient and refined, it is already a reality.

If the fingerprint recognition was already considered a major step forward, one that comes from Japan is a truly giant step, in the security and protection of their electronic devices: in Asia has indeed come true recognition eye.

If Apple and Samsung have commonly use a system for reading fingerprints, the electronics giant Fujitsu has instead decided to use iris recognition for authentication on its new smartphone NX Fujitsu Arrows F-04G.

The latter uses an infrared camera front in combination with an infrared light LED that illuminates the eye. A video shows how the scanner operates iris emphasizing the simplicity of release by the user without the need to remember passwords or combinations.

Not only authentication also allows you to use the system FIDO ( Fast Identity Online, supported by Microsoft, Google and PayPal) for mobile payments and Fujitsu ensures that the system is wrong only once every 100,000.

The new smartphone with ocular recognition will be launched soon in the market but only the Japanese, and is around $ 450.
