Apple says goodbye to queues: but for the Apple Watch will there be? – Corriere della Sera

Apple has decided to say goodbye to the queues in front of his store . And he decided to do it at the launch of the Watch, in 9 countries (excluding Italy) on 24 April. Perhaps it is a matter of the new image, or perhaps there is doubt about not having enough smartwatch available for requests of the early days. But we are so confident that Apple Watch is intended to create queues? The question whether the are putting in many and what in fact is the first product Apple really new after bidding farewell to Steve Jobs will be a good test for Cupertino. Doubt is not only linked to very little success they have so far had the smart watches on the market, because we know that Apple is used to change the rules of the market. Skepticism is instead by journalists, especially Americans, who recently had the opportunity to test the Watch. No one has proven disappointed, indeed. Almost all, however, we have agreed – by the Wall Street Journal in Re / Code – in defining a ‘product for pioneers not yet allocated to the mass audience. “

The reasons are essentially three . The price, first of all, for an object destined to soon become ‘obsolete’, especially in the first version, as they taught also iPhone and iPad. Hence the need to use it in combination with the smartphone: after years of habit to live with the phone still in hand, we are very confident that we can keep it in your pocket? And if they do not, which is why we use the Watch? Finally, the battery life: the nice review done by The Verge, the charge level is already at 35% to 17, and 23 – after a while ‘to use the savings – close to 7%. And if we were to grant us a night? One thing is certain: we will never know what time we got home.
