Samsung Galaxy S8 postponed to April? – Want …

An executive from Samsung has recently confirmed that the Galaxy S8 to complement a new personal assistant based on artificial intelligence. According to the latest information received from the Wall Street Journal, the prototypes of the Galaxy S8 currently in test include a side button for activation of the assistant. This hardware change could have consequences on the date of the presentation.

Usually, Samsung announces the new model of the Galaxy S series at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. The sources of the WSJ speculate that the launch of the Galaxy S8 will be postponed to April. Probably the company wants to carefully check all phases of design to avoid a new failure, after the flop of the Galaxy Note 7.

The digital assistant will not be the only novelty. The Galaxy S8 should have a display "bezel-less" with a screen-to-ratio higher than 80%. The Home button would then be eliminated, and the fingerprint reader might be hidden under the Super AMOLED panel. Other differences compared to the Galaxy S7 should be the dual camera back and the touch sensitive buttons for power and volume.
