A video of just 5 seconds,seemingly harmless, is able to crash the iPhone, forcing the owners to do a forced restart of the device to be able to return to use it.
Discovered by users on Reddit, the video can be spread through messages containing a link. If the user clicks, a dozen of seconds after watching the video you will find in the hand of an iPhone completely locked.
At this point the only solution is to force restart, by holding down simultaneously for ten seconds the power button and the to decrease the volume in the iPhone 7, power button and home button in the previous models. Once restarted, the device will again function in the normal way. The bug at the base of the problem would presumably be fixed by Apple with an update.
