In 2017, as we know, the iPhone will turn 10 years old, and it is therefore likely that for this important anniversary Apple wants to really impress, presenting an iPhone 8 revolutionary under many points of view with respect to the models that preceded it. The system Energous WattUp apparently is based on the use of radio waves that can transmit small “packets” of energy. Depending on the size and number of antennas, receivers and transmitters, and the use of proprietary software, the chip’s built into your smartphone should be able to take advantage of these packages, to charge the battery. At the moment we do not know at what point in the development of this solution, if it is already mature enough and if it allows charging times are acceptable, but if the news turns out to be true it would be a nice step forward.
