Fb wanted the clone of Snapchat – LOOP.it

(ANSA) – ROME, 31 OCT – Not being successful in buying Snapchat, Facebook has tried – in vain – to buy well as the emerging “clone” asian chat messages are “disposable”: Snow. This was reported by the website TechCrunch.
The social network in blue this summer would have made an offer to Snow, the app almost a copy of Snapchat, launched in September 2015 by Naver, a south Korean company evaluated the 25 billion dollars that is the ‘mother’ of the chat Line, very popular in Asia. Snow in little more than a year would have totaled about 80 million downloads and is growing at the rate of 10 million every month. Nothing would be served even a phone call from Mark Zuckerberg to the president of Naver You-Jin Lee.
The purchase is grayed out.
In the meantime, Facebook is continuing to incorporate in its products – on the social, but also about other app of its properties – the elements and features bor rowed from Snapchat. Latest Stories on Instagram, who are enjoying success with 100 million users in a matter of a couple of months.
Snow, however, could prove to be a threat to the same as Snapchat. Has graphics and functions very similar to those of the original american-but with two items in his favor to do scorched earth on the eastern markets. First of all filters and animations specifically for asian consumers, and then is taking off in China, where Snapchat is locked.(ANSA).
