MWC 2016: Telecom Infra Project will bring Internet everywhere – KeyforWeb

Telecom Infra Project is the new initiative taken by the Facebook CEO, Mark Zuckerberg, wanted to bridge the gaps whether created because of the digital divide, despite the development of modern fiber optic networks and mobile network for a future in 5G, leave large uncovered areas of emerging countries. The main objective of Zuckerberg focuses on internet.org campaign, created in order to interconnect at no cost, or at least at minimal cost, the inhabitants to the network using innovative solutions. The partnership entered into with the phone companies will ensure, therefore, a collaboration to develop new technologies to drastically reduce the cost of ownership and implementation of mobile networks anywhere in the world. The founder of Facebook has made clear, during the MWC 2016, a series of alternative ideas useful to the achievement of the aims.

Aircraft gravitational self-powered by solar energy, shared wireless access points and transmission systems satellite lasers are just some of the conceptual models designed by Mark Zuckerberg to transfer wireless radio signals in remote areas. The project, implemented in collaboration with 30 partners, is essentially the creation of appropriate structures to accelerate the development and settlement of the future 5G in remote areas of the planet. The project follows the Open Technology Design guidelines that goes hand in hand with respect to the Open Compute Project, conceived in order to make transparent the administration of projects for servers and data centers in order to promote rapid technological evolution. A project that will lead to substantial savings in terms of money to be donated in favor of the companies that, by their side, ensure affordable services to the public of digitally disadvantaged areas.
