On the island of Colon in Panama will soon be built the first village in the world born from the recycling of thousands and thousands of plastic bottles. The Plastic Bottle Village project was launched by entrepreneur Robert Bezeau, in order to encourage the recycling of waste accumulated in the area landfills. To achieve the first home they have been used with 20 thousand bottles. The project provides for the construction of housing 120 which, in addition to the plastic, will be formed from a skeleton of steel and a concrete cover. The houses will indeed be powered by renewable energy and equipped with a self-contained water system. The village will also include a shared garden, parks and large green areas.
