Impossible l-1 comes the heir or the Polaroid camera that does not fear the smartphone

Coming shortly Impossible l-1 that is a new and original analog camera instantly developed for the original format Polaroid. As we know the historic brand Polaroid no longer exists and just the latest factories have been absorbed by the Impossible , the latter in 2008 he decided to buy the latest settlement Polaroid in Enschede, the Netherlands , shortly before it was abandoned.

Sharing almost from scratch, he spent several years in finding old Polaroid cameras around the world and ricondizionarle, keeping alive the film and its tradizionale.Tornando format to the new machine this camera will be available later this month at a price of € 299, while to be able to buy the film will take 20 Euros. The very much reminiscent of the old vintage Polaroid machines , but of course is more compact and modern design in both aesthetic lines and materials. Impossible L-1 works with cartridges which will be available in black and white or color, will have the following cartridges that cost or the package 2 costs 34 Euros while that for a single cartridge costs 18 euro.

the satin body is still easy to handle (weight 440 grams) and condensation inside an optical system to six lenses with five possible configurations and focal length of 82-109 mm, all coupled to an autofocus system 5-zone and advanced ring flash. Impossible-l1 has eight LED that are merging into a single light beam, coupled by four other diffusion LED to make everything more realistic. The reference to the present is given above all by Bluetooth 4.0 technology, necessary expedient to connect to an application designed to iOS and watchOS : the software will provide a range of photographic features, among which is the command remote, timer, acoustic control, double exposure function and a manual control dell’otturatore.Il model, which has only one side button, allows you to shoot and print shots in one motion, fully analog mode: will, however, but this one App for iPhone and Android smartphones can drive the camera in different ways.

You can for example take the photography in remote mode , retard shooting, define exactly and in detail various parameters such as focal length, shutter speed and so on and also run long exposures to produce effects of light thanks to the Flash or the colored screen, for shots artistic. Ring Flash forward 12 LED , 8 focused to improve the range and diffusion LED for a softer light at close distances.

PROS AND CONS
If you want you can also scan the picture you have just made using the smartphone’s camera and then share it on the Net. But that would go against the fundamental concept and even more inviting snapshot cameras: the uniqueness of the photograph is taken. Which is also a great antidote to the unwanted spread of photos over the Web, which is a risk you take whenever you have images in digital format on an Internet-connected device, be it smartphone or PC. The case of the stolen shots at red lights by some Hollywood stars like Jennifer Lawrence phones has caught on to that effect. Well, if those photos had been taken with a camera like the E-1, probably would not be finished on the screens of half the world.

But the analog also has another side of the coin, we are not more accustomed to thinking. The price, first of all. The “thrill vintage” direct heir of the Polaroid is expensive: not so much for 299 € of the machine, as for € 20 needed to buy a cartridge with only 8 shots. In practice, 2,50 € per photo. Not to mention the risk of “accidents” as the shutter does not open (and the photo is black), or the development of the image in poor conditions can lead to mixed colors or parts of damaged image. Which, if desired, it can be considered a charm more reason, but maybe not. How he wants the saying, modified for the occasion: Who wants to look vintage, a (nice) just has to suffer.
