Internetdown, Facebookdown: in Italy the web goes to sob
Impairment of performance and slow down connections in different areas of Italy. TIM: “The problem stems from some nodes abroad, but we solved”
If you’re reading this article, obviously the Internet still works. At least to you, at least now. They can not say the same thousands of other Italians in the afternoon today have had difficulty connecting, both fixed and mobile network.
So one of the trending Twitter topic of the day is #internetdown, which in the last minute was accompanied by the hashtag #Facebookdown, because obviously the network problems involve also and especially heavily used sites, just as it is one of the largest social network in the world. Twitter on the other hand no major problem. Much of the reports concern the North, but several also come from Sicily. The peak occurred between 15.00 and 17; TIM users particularly affected.
Currently the causes are not yet well understood caused inefficiencies, but by TIM came the following note: “TIM wishes to inform that the momentary disruption, which led to a partial limitation of the international Internet traffic fixed and mobile, it has been resolved in an hour. The network connectivity service is now functioning properly and has been restored thanks to the timely intervention of the technicians. ” The phone operator then explains that the fault was recorded due to instability of some of the network nodes to the international route.
