The Big Hack 2015, he won the occupational safety – PianetaCellulare.it

Mobility, Open Data, Safety at work: these are the challenges that have been called to participate all’hackathon 2,015 interested parties to contribute to improve many aspects which affect the daily life of millions of people.

The Hackathon 2015 theme Internet of Thing (Internet of Things) organized by Asset Room – Special Agency of the Chamber of Commerce of Roma was held on 10 and 11 October, aimed at developers, engineers, designers, startupper , students, makers but also to those who work in the communications world.

The one hundred and sixty participants all’ackathon 2015 could present themselves individually or as a team already formed, it remains subject to the obligation of individual registration of each participant. Saturday, October 10 was held the training of teams, each of which has been identified with a name chosen by the members.

The 18 proposals submitted by the same number of team participants were assessed by a jury consisting of representatives of the promoters, organizers and partner organizations. For each challenge, the jury evaluated the proposals submitted by participating teams, based on the following criteria: ● Utility / Value ● Relevance to Challenge proposals ● Technical difficulty ● Design / User Experience ● Creativity / Innovation ● Completeness of the prototype.

In the closing phase, the Jury observed and selected a maximum number of projects that have gone to the next stage. Each member of the jury assigned to each proposal selected for a score from one to five for each criterion, which helped to determine the ranking of teams in the standings. After evaluation with score followed a phase of consultation among the members of the jury, which determined the final standings of the competing projects.

At the end of the event were announced the winners, who will be rewarded during the Maker Faire Rome – the European Edition scheduled between 16 and 18 October in University City “La Sapienza” in Rome.

special prize Maker Faire, gone made to the overall winner of the competition, it was awarded to the project Safe Back – Back to safe, in the race for the challenge Work safety promoted by Eni. As reported by The Messenger , the project presents itself as a solution that uses proximity sensors and wearable technology to alert workers in dangerous situations, providing assistance both operators and supervisors.

For every challenge proposed by the promoters there was a winner:

Prize Open Data – Lazio went to City Roots , a project that promotes the green economy through a built-in app a virtual community that facilitates collaboration between citizens and public administration with the creation and exchange of Open date. The prize: € 3000 in Amazon vouchers awarded for the construction of the app, along with the ability to use the services of support for the development of the app, provided, depending on the type and purpose of the app, by regional Space Assets, by BIC Lazio incubators or regional FabLab.

Prize Open Data – Agid went to Eat-it , a project dedicated to the protection and enhancement of products 100% made in Italy through the use open data AGID and a database of companies and products. The prize: € 3000 in Amazon vouchers and, if the application will be the winner of concrete interest, it will fund the construction Agid allocating EUR 7000 development.

Prize Mobility – Mobility Agency of Roma Capitale went to CPT Card (Citizen Pilgrim Tourist) card integrated services destined to tourists and citizens to have all the information of cultural and logistical. The prize: 2500 Euros in Amazon vouchers to be shared between all team members and 5 free subscriptions in Car Sharing + 100 Euros each consumer car-sharing.

Mobility Award – went to Trenitalia scooting project helpful to the traveler in planning every aspect of the trip, an app ideal travel companion at your smartphone. The prize: 2500 € and 1500 € in Amazon vouchers in good Frecciarossa.

Workplace Safety Award – Eni anadto project ax , an intuitive graphical user interface through which check that all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is worn. The prize: Trip to MIT to five days in Boston, USA. Specifically, the prize consists of accommodation (4 nights), air ticket to / r from Italy to Boston and visit to the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Eni will decide dates and modalities of the travel and living expenses for a maximum of € 10,000 Euros.

The winning projects will be awarded during the Maker Faire Rome – the European Edition scheduled between 16 and 18 October in University City “La Sapienza” in Rome.
