Facebook challenge Google searches and Twitter Moments with your Search FYI
The engine, launched in the US, you can have access to post topics to more recent and relevant. Will compete with the new function of blogging
Facebook enhances search function within the company, allowing you to search for topics. For a given event, users will be able to see the comments not only friends, but whoever wrote publicly, with priority to the most relevant sources. Looking “water on Mars,” for example, you will see the post on CNN and other media. The search engine, launched in the US, is called Search FYI and challenge Twitter Moments, which offers the day’s events.
“With over 1.5 billion searches a day and $ 2 trillion of post-indexed, the search is a major effort and long-term for Facebook,” the company said. “When something happens in the world, often people go on Facebook to see how friends and family are reacting. From now will also see what the world says. ”
To do so, simply write the topic in the search bar of the company and you will have access to post more recent and relevant, with the ability to click the refresh button to see the updates. You can also follow public conversations on a topic relating to the most shared links on Facebook.
The new research could have implications for the publishing companies who are increasingly making use of Facebook. This novelty competes with Twitter Moments: launched a couple of weeks ago, provides the day’s events on various topics, giving users direct access to a selection of tweets, photos, videos and insights edited in real time by an internal team together with other partners including New York Times and Washington Post .
