During the keynote introductory hour and a half there has been talk of robotics and several other topics and guests who took turns on stage were equally numerous, but the most resonate with the spirit the event were maybe two. The first is Caesar Cacitti, 16 and maker since he was little more than 10. His journey in this world began in 2005 with the first electronics kit given to him by his parents. In 2007 he fell in love with one of the first RepRap and he’s built one by finding the pieces and adattandoseli alone.

Some of his words on technology as a factor of transformation of a society of consumers in a society manufacturers have anticipated those of the guest of honor of the keynote, the father of the Maker Faire in person, Dale Dougherty. According to him “Events like this serve mainly to increase the number of makers in our society. Because many of us are already maker , and they only need support from their environment to express themselves “.

The various editions around the world – remember – are about 150. A sign that the event is gathering a large consensus and distributed, and intercepting a will precise to participate so palpable to the progress of society. Creating, sharing, transforming individuals from passive consumers to producers.

“The real benefit that will lead this movement, I hope, will be a change in the model of education. We would like to teach children to partipare with their hands to their own growth; encourage them to experiment. The Maker Faire in this regard is a catalyst. “
