EcoBricks project: built 61 schools made from waste materials – Emerge the Future

In a strictly metaphorical, there is no place on earth more solid and unchanging of our School from the Gentile reform, every education minister who attempted to revise the foundations of the existing school system found itself the victim of protests, occupations, strikes and self-management that forced a partial reverse the aspirations of reform and who left, largely unchanged the status quo.

As you review the pillars which underpin the school system seems a complicated undertaking, if not impossible any latitude, the environmental organization Hug It Forward had the brilliant intuition of review the architecture school in a sense much more physical and eco , realizzand or 61 buildings completely made from recycled bricks.

Under the project called EcoBrick , it was possible to build more than 60 schools, located in the poorest areas of the world and realized thanks to materials from recycled , so going to break down development costs of the buildings and to ensure, at the same time, a new materials to use otherwise destined to total neglect.

Thank you all ‘intuition of Susan Heisse , responsible for Hug it Forward, it was possible to design a system of conversion of non-biodegradable plastics worldwide, going to reuse materials from hard Disposal for build schools scattered to the diverse latitudes of the globe , from the Philippines to Guatemala and to make so possible broad education in those places where precisely the shortage of buildings is one of the obstacles to be overcome.

Born yourself 69 months, project EcoBricks therefore has already produced tangible results and inspired Birth of a growing number of school buildings, thus putting in place a small revolution in the sector that could soon make converts in other areas of the world and that, certainly, does not raise that wave of protests, strikes, occupation and self-management that generally accompany any attempt to reform the school, regardless of the political color of the minister in question and its real intentions.
