The matter Hacking Team has many clouds thickened chapter on information security, infusing some confusion in the eternal dilemma of “who controls whom.” After all, when a company hack hacker, reactions can be varied, and all have been dragging some flavor mocking. But what really happened to Hacking Team, beyond responsibilities, jeers and questions?

What is Hacking Team?
First we must clarify what is The company, based in Milan. The Hacking Team is nothing more than a service provider of digital espionage. And it has to add that in his sector also receives some success. It was founded in 2003 and since then offers solutions for computer investigations by providing police and intellingence worldwide the tools to do it. An example? What happened to Hacking Team?
A couple of days ago, the company David Vincenzetti suffered a hacker attack designed, thanks to which they were taken from the archives about 400 gigabytes of documents. Subsequently, it was “broken” the official twitter profile of the company (which was also renamed in Hacked Team, ie company hacked) and by its social networks have been popular data burning: confidential files, exchange of e-mail private between employees and images. Data which would throw light on the relationship of the company with 36 states, some of which are known to be illiberal and repressive as Russia and Sudan. And to discuss the charges are coming from activists, according to which the company, thanks to its malware, spied journalists and politicians. In addition, the same malware would be able – according to activists – not only to spy but also to include documents in the victim’s device, so you can fit an individual.

For those working Hacking Team ?
The Milan-based company has customers all over the world, and – at least in words – caters exclusively to governments and governmental authorities. However, by this spy story all Italian comes out a dense cloud of doubts that would see involved banks, telephone companies and insurance companies. And this is the real indictment. The Milan prosecutor’s office is ready to open a case. It is expected that the investigation will come out of it all.
