Windows 10, “new era” for Microsoft – ANSA.it

– ROME “is the beginning of a new era, a milestone for Microsoft.” So the number one company in Redmond, Satya Nadella, salutes in an interview with the BBC the launch of Windows 10, the new operating system available today in 190 countries, including Italy. The news comes at a critical time for Microsoft: the last quarter marked the red most troubling history of the company that recently announced a cut of 7,800 places around the world.
Key new features of the new system are integration with the voice assistant Cortana, the browser Edge – which replaces the “historic” Internet Explorer, Windows Hello recognize that face, iris and fingerprint users to bid farewell to the traditional password. Nadella says the BBC’s very own point of Cortana: “If you think of our history in technology – explains – we had ideas that changed human interaction with computing resources.
One of these was the interface graphic and then the browser to the web. I believe that Cortana is the platform number three “.
NADELLA then points out that future devices, such as the display for augmented reality Hololens, will keep Windows 10 Central.
Available now gradually for groups of users, since the “insiders” who have tested, and free for those with pirated copies of Windows 7 and 8.1, Windows 10 marks the fortieth birthday of Microsoft. The launch brings with it the responsibility of the revival in an area where Windows is still the undisputed king – is up more than 90% of the PC – but in hot pursuit has giants like Apple and Google.
