Pluto, NASA Public animated video of the planet’s surface – Il Sole 24 Ore

DESCRIPTION

Houston (askanews) – NASA, the US space agency has distributed an animated video of the surface of Pluto captured by the cameras of New Horizons during its flight over a short distance of the planet. You see icy mountains that stand out on the horizon, reaching 3,500 meters above sea level. The images suggest that Pluto is geologically active areas geologically recent, ie less than 100 million years, in a planet presumed age of 4.5 billion years. (Images AFP)
