The new goggles series EE (Enterprise only Edition to be precise) they are in fact designed for streaming video, an increasingly important attribute in the enterprise and for the needs of certain professions. To support this theory there would be rumors that would see Google working together with some startup on many hardware revisions goggles, as part of a development device which falls today under the responsibility of Tony Fadell, the manager who in Apple created iPod before leaving to found Nest.

The next version of Google Glass, say they are confident many experts, it will not be an issue then 2.0, but it could be (the conditional is ‘obligation) a completely new product and the result of a market strategy significantly different from that which gave birth to the first generation of goggles. The first Google Glass, beyond the huge media appeal, never became in fact a product for the mass market and an indispensable gadget for the general consumers. Some applications, however, especially in the education and medical (the Glass have proved a useful tool for sharing images of surgery in the operating room), have open fronts very interesting for the dissemination of wearable augmented reality.

What we do not know, however, is whether Google is actually thinking about a release in volumes of the new Glass for the corporate world and if this could be made official, as they state the inevitable rumors, later this end of 2015. The next 28 December, that’s for sure, will be made public images in the file lodged with the FCC. Then we’ll know.
