Nintendo President Satoru Iwata die: it was the “father” of Wii and … – The Messenger

The president of Nintendo Co., Satoru Iwata, has died at age 55 from cancer: the manager had followed the development of some of the most popular products of the Japanese, such as Nintendo DS and the Wii console.
The disappearance, which occurred Saturday, it was announced today by the company of which he was appointed CEO of the American subsidiary in 2013. For Iwata is credited with authorship of the success Nintendo DS and Nintendo Wii. A role, that of the first president not belonging to the founding family Yamauchi, fundamental in giving new life to the company.

Nintendo announced that the directors Genyo Takeda and Shigeru Miyamoto now assume the leadership of the company.
