Facebook DeepText: an AI that knows what we write – Webnews

Facebook has developed a new AI called “ DeepText ” that can understand what people are writing with “almost human accuracy” . An operation that can take several thousand times per second in more than 20 languages. DeepText was announced through a blog post on the social networks, with Facebook’s engineers have explained how it works and how it will be gradually introduced within the social platform.

Ultimately, it will be used by DeepText Facebook for better understand the needs and habits of members to suggest them the best solution. For example, if users write or post comments related to the ability to sell an item, DeepText identify this need and then Facebook will suggest to all possible ways users to sell the item through the Social Network . Furthermore, due to its ability to understand exactly what people are writing, DeepText can also be used to identify spam and harassment within the social platform.

This new artificial intelligence is, however, at the beginning of its evolution. This means that currently only includes the context of a sentence, that is the general intention of the user. However, as they learn to identify DeepText requests of members, its accuracy will improve exponentially able really to interpret naturally every post or comment of the people.

Since this is an artificial intelligence, DeepText has, in fact, , needs to improve its understanding of the lyrics with time analyzing everything that will share users within the social network.
