Nokia has, in fact, already created on their official page a section dedicated to the smartphone and in the note we read that the first models should begin in the next six months, accompanied apparently by some feature-phone. HMD does not realize, however, physically the devices: the smartphone will be manufactured by FIH Mobile, a subsidiary of Foxconn, who in turn had purchased at the beginning of the year, the division of the feature-phone of Microsoft. in Short, after having passed through very bad management on the part of Microsoft, which was supposed to lead to a 20% market share, and instead is going to the disaster due to a series of poor choices, and Nokia is back at the end of the project that the market was expected already several years ago: to create a smartphone with Android on board. Despite the difficulties of recent years, however, Nokia is still a brand very recognizable and appreciated, especially in emerging markets. In the note, HMD speaks also of creating products that are user-centric and innovative, without losing sight of the traits that have always distinguished the products of Nokia, i.e. design, robustness and reliability. After many years of absence from the market, but you only have all this to emerge in a market as crowded as the Android and playing on equal terms with giants like Samsung, Google and Apple?
