In the strategy for the delivery of Amazon there are only the drones project Prime Air, but also true the archive flying, the group of Jeff Bezos could start to build in the future. The company calls them centers run transported by air, or Afc (from Airborne Fulfillment Center), and described them in a patent filed in 2014 in the United States, but was granted only in April of this year and discovered in these days by an analyst Cb Insights.
The document in question tells the story of an aircraft intended for the storage of the products on sale at the website of the company and able to stay in flight above the 13 thousand meters of altitude. In the patent, it also illustrates the methods of delivery of the goods at home: a series of drones dedicated to the distribution and retail are deployed from the flying fortress with the parcel to be delivered, and once completed the operation, return to a warehouse of the earth be shipped on board a shuttle supply that hinges on the storage of fuel and new merchandise.

That Amazon was trying to find a solution to the problem of distribution to the home we knew, but the project presents more of an unknown. From the one hand, unlike a regular warehouse, the Afc has the obvious advantage of moving quickly where it is most required, and to get close to the places of final delivery to reduce the autonomy necessary to the drones for the outbound and return flights.
On the other hand, however, organize in real time and in an efficient way a continuous series of changes of direction of typically announces a nightmare of logistics. Amazon to work on the details of peace from the time the patent was discovered independently of the will of the group it is very likely that at this stage the stock has not even been designed; before seeing him take to the skies in a matter of time.
