Nokia phone with Android in 2017, it’s official! – Tom’s Hardware

Nokia has announced a agreement with a duration of at least 10 years for the sale of the brand for the exclusive use of HMD Global, the Finnish company, in turn created by former employees of Nokia. This agreement therefore implies the confirmation that the famous Nokia phone Android based you will make, and will be to short.

Nokia has, in fact, already created on their official page a section dedicated to the smartphone, while the note says that the first models should begin in six months, within the first half of 2017, accompanied, as it seems from some of the feature-phone.

HMD, however, does not realize the power of devices: smartphones, in fact, be produced by FIH Mobile, a subsidiary of Foxconn, which, in turn, at the beginning of the year had purchased the division in the feature-phone of Microsoft.

in Short, after having passed through very bad management on the part of Microsoft, which was supposed to lead to a 20% market share, and instead is going to the disaster due to a series of poor choices, and Nokia is back at the end of the project that the market was expected already several years ago: to create a smartphone with Android on board.

Despite the difficulties of recent years however, Nokia is still a brand very recognizable and appreciated, especially in emerging markets. In the note, HMD speaks also of creating products that are user-centric and innovative, without losing sight of the traits that have always distinguished the products of Nokia, i.e. design, robustness and reliability. After many years of absence from the market, but you only have all this to emerge in a market as crowded as the Android and playing on equal terms with giants like Samsung, Google and Apple?
