The fairy world of social networks, where every free service seems obvious, does not really exist. Okay the Internet for free, okay the unlimited bandwidth and without costs, but arrived at a certain point of the business came on a key player: the gain. And it is here that the advertisement – in these latitudes known as advertising – must do its part.
Today it’s up to Instagram. The social network of stylized photos, authentic crack of the younger generation, from today will also welcome in Italy, and in another 29 countries, sponsored posts. The announcement came a few hours ago, in a meeting between the leaders of Facebook and Italian journalists. “We are excited about this step forward made by the platform, which will allow our community to connect better and more directly with the brands they love. The new features that we introduce today will allow companies, large and small, to achieve their business objectives by offering content of strong inspiration and high visual quality, “said Luca Colombo, vice president of Facebook.
Basically, what will happen from now on Instagram, is very similar to what already happens on other social (such as Facebook as well as Twitter ed). Shaking his time line, the user will see post (here pictured) sponsored. The words “sponsored” is shown at the top right, and the particularity of the image is that – unlike those posted by users – will be in some way with a clickable call to action that can be of three types: play a video , downloading an application or opening a web page (in Instagram, and not on the browser ed). From a business perspective, the ad management is enabled within the platform for advertising campaigns on Facebook. It will use the same characteristics as targeting.
The companies that already today will be represented in advertisements on Instagram, the Italian market, are Audi Italy, Carrera, Chupa Chups, Ford Italy, illycaffè, Mercedes-Benz Italy, Italy Samsung, Toyota Italy, Warner Bros. Entertainment Italy and yoox.com. Obviously there are different types of campaign planning. The most important one is the version Marquee, which allows you to reach in 24 hours all Italian users.
No data, however, about the number of Instagram users in Italy. Facebook have shrugged. Although with the new tool for advertising, choosing to want to reach all users, some interesting data will come out.
